Exhaust System Repair

We repair/replace manifolds, catalytic converters, O2 sensors, pipes, mufflers and flex pipes.

What is the exhaust system?

The exhaust system removes unwanted and harmful gasses from the engine after a controlled combustion. It also reduces the amount of toxins emitted into the atmosphere. Catalytic converters will transform bad gasses, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide into clean gasses, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water. With vehicles having proper exhaust systems, the air we breathe will be cleaner and better for the environment. The Exhaust system consists of a manifold, catalytic converter, pipes, muffler and resonator.

Symptoms of a faulty exhaust system

If you feel your vehicle is louder than normal, have your exhaust system checked. Over time, exhaust systems can rot causing holes in the exhaust components. When holes are present in the exhaust system, bad gasses can enter the vehicle cabin. Another way to tell if there is a hole in your system, foul smelling exhaust gasses will be present. A faulty exhaust system can also cause a check engine light to be illuminated on your dashboard. Make sure all warning lights are checked in a timely manner. Vibrations or other rattling noise can be caused by a poor exhaust system. Make sure your exhaust is checked when your vehicle goes in for maintenance or other repair work.
